NEPHO Analytical Team
The NEPHO Analytical Team is responsible for maintaining data sets, exploring new resources, monitoring health trends and drawing together different types of information to help improve health and reduce inequalities.
We want to share the knowledge and experience of the Analytic Team with the wider health community. This site aims to be a one-stop-shop to help visitors download relevant datasets, identify meetings and events of interest, access useful statistical tools and link through to other useful sites or datasets.
Health Improvement Dashboard
The Health Improvement Dashboard presents data on public health in the North East, and allows maps and graphs to be produced. You can select one or more areas to see data for your region, or to compare PCTs and clusters.
Strategic Health Asset Planning and Evaluation (SHAPE)
SHAPE is a web enabled, evidence based tool, designed to support and inform strategic planning. It is aimed at SHAs and PCTs delivering service reconfiguration within a whole health economy. It brings together existing national data sets of clinical activity, human geography and healthcare estate assets supported by Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology.
Mental Health Information
NEPHO serves as the lead observatory for mental health, and formerly hosted the Mental Health Observatory. Legacy data gathered by the MHO, and regularly-updated standard mental health outputs, can be found on our Mental Health Pages.
