Introduction to Public Health Intelligence October - December 2009
Overview
As part of the national public health information and intelligence strategy Informing Healthier Choices, NEPHO, in collaboration with PHINE, is offering an nine day introductory course in public health intelligence skills.
This course aims to meet the public health skills and knowledge needs of analysts in PCTs, the SHA or local authorities. Although it is aimed at analysts new to public health, some of the sessions may also be of benefit to public health specialists.
The course is primarily aimed at new specialists in public health information and intelligence - around levels 5 and 6. It will also be of interest for Continuing Professional Development for Public Health Intelligence. It is limited to 20 places and priority will be given to those training in information and intelligence and to those attending all 8 days. Applicants should have basic IT skills, including the use of Excel.
The course will be held on nineTuesdays from 27th October 2009.
